Abivax hired IQVIA to plan and execute their investigator meeting for their group of clinical trials about ulcerative colitis. We ended up creating a set of videos for them to train healthcare providers (HCPs) on how the trials work, key steps to follow, and how the drug works in the human body.
We proposed this video as part of the toolkit to show the mechanism of action.
Discovery & Ideation
A lot of MOA videos use 3D animation to represent what’s happening at the cellular level when someone takes the drug.
Since we had limited time and resources to produce this video and I didn’t have experience in 3D modeling at the time, we decided to lean into the vector-based scientific illustration approach. This still creates that immersive magnified environment, but it was much quicker to create the assets as one person.
All illustrations in this video were custom drawn in Adobe Illustrator for this project.

Going Further
After showing the video for the clinical trial training, the client decided to use it in a wider set of circumstances.
So far, the video has 1,800 views after being posted on the Abivax website.
